Continuing on with our awesome news, we had it confirmed today that we definitely have a court date of July 31st! Praise God!

So, what did I do today?:

• Reserved airline tickets (3 out, 5 back! Woo hoo!!!)
• Spoke with our attorney's office
• Spoke with our social worker twice
• Got accommodations for the week we’ll be there
• Downloaded all the additional ICPC forms needed to update our file (as the adoption took longer than 6 months to complete)
• Contacted my husband’s benefits administrator to get the paperwork to add the children to our medical plan
• Contacted hubby's and my doctor for our physicals (part of the file update above)
• Contacted pediatricians to coordinate the transfer of information for the children and set up their physicals
• Spoken with hubby’s uncle who lives in the state we’re adopting from (and who informed me he will be there for the court date!)
• Sent our itinerary to the other family members attending (currently my aunt and possibly her brother)
• Talked to the kids to let them know we’re coming for my daughter’s birthday

For so long, this has all seemed a far away dream. But, today, when I had to list our last name as the children’s last name in order to book their flight home with us; and when I had to rattle off their names and birthdates without hesitation when I made their pediatric appointments, it struck me how soon the dream will come true! Remember when I said I couldn’t plan anything in advance? Now, I’m starting to see things on my PDA with their names next to it! It’s such an awesome feeling … I just can’t get enough of it!

The next few weeks are going to be busy beyond belief and I’m glad, because our departure day will be here before we know it! I’m awash in plans, and loving it!
